Actress Leah Remini talks to Ellen DeGeneres about her life after leaving the church of Scientology.

Remini appeared on Monday's premier of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Remini Spoke about losing friends as a result of leaving the church of Scientology.

News broke of Remini's departure on July 11. According to the New York Post, Remini underwent years of interrogations after questioning Scientology leader David Miscavige's role as a leader. She was also interrogated for asking about the whereabouts of Miscavige’s wife Shelly, who has not been seen in public since 2007.

"It's hard. We lost a lot of friends who can no longer talk with us who are still with the organization," Leah Remini told Ellen. "And these are friends that we've had for dozens of years. But I have great friends who are not in the church, who have stood by us. Our family is stronger, we're together, and that's all I can ask for."

Remini will appear on the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars along with Christina Milian, Bill Nye, Jack Osbourne, and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi. Remini’s partner will be professional Tony Dovolani. The show premieres Sept. 23 on ABC.
