LeBron James married his high school sweetheart Savannah Brinson on Saturday in San Diego, Calif. The marriage festivities will continue through Sunday.
James and Brinson have two kids; LeBron Jr., 8, and Bryce, 5 and got engaged on New Year’s Eve in 2011. Their save the date was leaked in March, so fans knew when and where they would be tying the knot.
San Diego’s CBS affiliate reports guests that watched the couple exchange vows include fellow NBA stars Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony, Dwayne Wade and girlfriend Gabrielle Union and Jay-Z and Beyonce.
People reports the celebration started on Friday, when they had a barbeque and continued on Saturday at the Grand Del Mar resort around 4:30pm. A brunch was held for guests on Sunday.
James told Harper’s Bazaar of Brinson back in 2010, "A person like myself always needs a great sidekick and a person you can rely on no matter the circumstances. And she's that. She's got my back and I love her for that."
