Singer Lionel Richie has offered up some parenting advice to Billy Ray Cyrus telling him to stay strong.
According to USA Today, in an interview with omg! Insider Nichole Richie's father said, "When you have a teenage daughter growing up in Hollywood, in the business, I mean, what I went through with Nicole, God bless Billy Ray."
"Honestly there is no control." He added, "Dad to Dad, I've been Billy Ray."
His reality star daughter suffered from a drug addiction, but was able to get herself cleaned up and has become a successful designer and mother.
"It's one of those things where you have to say, 'Please God let it be over soon,'" Richie said.
Miley Cyrus has been in the news a lot lately thanks to her outrageous VMA performance, which might cost her her relationship with Liam Hemsworth.
On Tuesday she suffered a nip-slip while in Paris and released a music video where she spends most of it nearly naked or naked.
Though she has said about the video, "I think the video is much more. If people get past the point I'm naked, and you actually look at me, you can tell I look more broken than even the song sounds,”
