A Youtube video of a man coming to after surgery and thinking he’s meeting his wife for the first time has gone viral.
Jason Mortensen uploaded the video of himself, which he titled “Seeing her for the first time again,” to his personal Youtube channel. The video has received 8.5 million views.
In the video, Mortensen is drowsy after surgery, and tells the woman standing by his bedside, “Man, you are eye candy. You’re the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen. Are you a model?” After the woman explains that she’s his wife, Candice, Mortensen exclaims, “You’re my wife? Holy sh--!”
Some skeptics have called the video out for a fake, but CNN did some snooping, and the American Fork Hospital in Utah confirmed that Mortensen had surgery on August 21, and his wife Candice stayed with him the whole time.
After taking in that Candice was indeed his wife, Mortensen asked if they’ve kissed yet, if they’ve had children, and how long they’ve been together. When Candice said “a long time,” Mortensen replied, “Oh my god, I’ve hit the jackpot!”
Sounds like it truly was love at second sight.
