The mayor of Hartford, Conn. is responding to Dave Chappelle after he walked out on a performance there and took some jabs at the crowd at a later Funny or Die Presents The Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival tour stop in Chicago.

Mayor Pedro Segarra tweeted:

It all started last week when Chappelle apparently didn’t want to deal with an unruly crowd in Hartford and decided to run his time out and then exit the stage prematurely.

He addressed the incident in Chicago on Tuesday, calling the Hartford crowd a bunch of "young, white alcoholics.”

“I don't want anything bad to happen to the United States, but if North Korea ever drops a nuclear bomb on this country, I swear to God I hope it lands in Hartford, Connecticut,” he continued.

Chappelle then referred to Michael Richards’ incident from 2006, saying “I wanted to pull a reverse Kramer and call 'em all crackers or something crazy like that. I know that s**t'll be on YouTube. 'Funnyman Dave Chappelle calls a room full of white people "crackers."' Couldn't do that. I felt bad when Kramer did that s**t to us."
