Rapper MIA doesn't feel that she was in the wrong when she flipped the bird during the 2012 Super Bowl half time performance. Madonna was the halftime performer and she brought along Nicki Minaj and MIA to perform their song,"Give Me All Your Lovin'" The gesture was very brief but it was enough for the cameras to catch and it was displayed to 100 million viewers around the world.
The NFL has issued a $1.5 million dollar fine for the rapper's indecent gesture.
According to The Daily Mail, MIA's lawyer Howard King told The Hollywood Reporter, "Of course, the NFL's claimed reputation for wholesomeness is hilarious, in light of the weekly felonies committed by its stars, the bounties placed by coaches on opposing players, the homophobic and racist comments uttered by its players, the complete disregard for the health of players and the premature deaths that have resulted from same."
TMZ reports that MIA has released a video explaining why she doesn't feel that she should pay the NFL a dime because the NFL allowed underage cheer-leading girls on stage with the performers. She also says that the underaged girls were dancing provocatively.
