The late Michael Jackson wanted to be immortalized on the big screen.
That wish was revealed in the pop singer's secret diary, Daily Mail reports. He wrote, "If I don't concentrate (on) film, no immortalization."
The 50-year-old singer wanted to be "better than Kelly and Astaire... the greatest ever"; referring to Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire.
The "Thriller" singer wrote that diary entry only a few months before he died on June 25, 2009 of a drug overdose.
The excerpts of Jackson's diary were posted by New York Post's Page Six.
The singer also wrote that he wanted to be "in the likes of Chaplin Michelangelo Disney. These men Demanded Perfection Innovation always."
Jackson's plans were to "Develop [undecipherable] 2 a year for 6 years... a movie a year for the next 5 years," ABC News notes.
The diary excerpts also contained notes on how he wanted his own line of cookies, soda and games as well as that his use of drugs were to help him achieve his dreams.
Recently, as previously reported, two AEG Live executives were dismissed from the wrongful death lawsuit. While the executives were dismissed, the lawsuit is still pressing forward with the company AEG Live as the defendant. There is a reported $1.5 billion at stake for the company depending on the outcome.
