NBC's multi-night Million Second Quiz has been underwhelming for the TV network.
NBC had hoped the show would be a hit and be like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, USA Today reports.
Executive producer Eli Holtzman said before the show aired, "No one has run a game show non-stop for 24 hours days and days on end." The show could potentially pay a winner $2 million if they last the 11 days.
The Ryan Seacrest hosted show, which is on air 10 consecutive nights until Thursday, only saw 6.5 million viewers and has done down on the following days. Saturday night's episode was down to only 2.9 million viewers.
According to The Associated Press, the show is seen a confusing and the show is hard to jump into. Critics were confused as to how the show worked.
Catriona Wightman of Digital Spy said, "Is there any need for things to be this complex?"
The AP notes that while Saturday saw a ratings low, they increased slightly to 3.7 million on Monday night.
NBC had hoped to have the show air a few times throughout the TV season, but no word on whether the network will continue it after the current 11 days end.
