Neil Patrick Harris is pleased to have the opportunity to host the Emmy’s for the second time this Sunday.
"I love TV and the motley crew of people that are part of it,” Harris gushed as quoted by USA Today. "I think that makes for a better viewing experience of television than ever, and I'm happy to be the guy in charge of honoring that."
Harris, who has previously won two Emmys, says that his longstanding work in the business will help him be a worthwhile host.
"I dabbled in magic and juggling and I sing some," he says. "Those are all, as it turns out, good attributes for being a host."
Harris notes that he doesn’t want to use jokes at “people’s expense.”
"I want to do my own thing and hope people respond to it,” Harris notes. “I think the key is to try and be nice. I'm not so wild a fan of comedy at people's expense."
In July, Harris filled in for Kate Mara for the nominations. Mara was unable to make it after her plane suffered a malfunction.
