Nicki Minaj’s celebrity status helped her avoid a ticket, Tuesday.
The “Starships” singer was pulled over by a traffic cop, but when the police officer realized who she nabbed she let the former American Idol judge slide, noting that her daughter is a huge fan, E! News reports.
It is unclear exactly what Minaj did wrong to get pulled over, but she did not leave feeling ungrateful. In fact, Minaj took to Twitter Tuesday afternoon to send a note to the police officers daughter, who as previously noted, is a huge fan.
“To my beautiful barb Ayanna! You and your mom are amazing!! Love always, Nicki,” the note read. Minaj captioned the photo, “Her mother is a traffic cop. She was about to give us a tkt. ;)”
Minaj was previously in the headlines after rapper Gucci Mane claimed he had sex with the her. The singer was quick to strike the rumors as false, tweeting and deleting, “May God strike me dead if I ever had sex wit that man #ugliness. He's sick and in dire need of rehab. #Love."
