The Broncos set a franchise record for points scored Sunday as they put up 52 on the Eagles.
Peyton Manning was at it again, throwing four touchdowns on 28 of 34 passing for 327 yards. He did this in only three quarters as he didn't play in the fourth. According to USA Today, Manning threw three of his four touchdowns in the third quarter alone, also throwing an interception in the quarter. The Broncos have scored 62 third-quarter points this season as a result of Manning's masterful third quarter play. Manning was benched early in the fourth after the Broncos scored a special teams touchdown to extend their lead to 36.
Manning threw two TDs each to Damarius Thomas and Wes Welker to get his touchdown total up to 16, which is the highest total in the first month of a season. CBS Sports reports that Manning joined Milt Plum, who played in the '60s, as the only quarterbacks to throw that many touchdowns without an interception.
The Broncos remain undefeated and improve to 4-0 after embarrassing the Eagles (1-3).
