Kate Winslet appeared at the Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday for the first time since she announced that she was pregnant for the third time.
People Magazine reports that the Titanic star spoke about how the pregnancy was treating her, saying, "I feel completely great." Winslet went on to talk about how she felt blessed to be able to be a part of the film Labor Day and to promote it at the film festival. "It’s such a pleasure to be able to be here and still be permitted on an airplane and talk about a film that I’m proud to be a part of," she said, joking about regulations regarding pregnant women flying.
According to the Huffington Post, Winslet had announced in June that she was expecting a child with her husband, Ned Rocknroll. At the film festival, the actress wore a black blazer over a black Jenny Packham dress.
Winslet is already a mom to two. She has a daughter, Mia, who is 12 and a son, Joe, who is 9. A veteran of motherhood, Winslet has talked about how much becoming a parent transforms your life. She has said, “I have admiration for mothers everywhere. Being a parent turns you inside out. It completely transforms your life and, of course, your children are your absolute everything.”
