Prince Harry camped out in a freezer Tuesday in the hopes of simulating similar climate he will endure when he travels to the South Pole this winter.
According to USA Today, Harry will team up with injured British servicemen and women against teams from the United States and Britain for The Virgin Money South Pole Allied Challenge.
Britain’s team will be lead by The Wire actor Dominic West, while the USA team will be lead by True Blood actor Alexander Skarsgard. The Virgin Money South Pole Allied Challenge will aim to raise money for the Walking and Wounded charity, People reports.
Skarsgard spoke to people about leading the team standing firm that they are “not going to lose.”
"I'm very excited to meet him,” Skarsgard said of meeting the Prince. “I'll be with my U.S. teammates at the South Pole welcoming him. I'll be happy to see him when he arrives. We will be there first though!"
During Harry’s time in the freezer he reportedly endured winds of up to 45 mph and temperatures dropping to -31 degrees.
The challenge will begin in November and last just over two weeks. Each team will travel between nine and twelve miles a day.
