This is it. We’re finally nearing the end of a season of America’s Got Talent that, in my opinion, has shown us one of the most interesting batches of talent in recent years. Although there were quite a few snubs when it came to the top six (Hello, Kristef Brothers? Timber Brown? Where are you guys? Oh right, America didn’t vote you guys through…), the remaining acts did end up featuring three of my favorites. The top six was finished out by two acts who I can recognize as deserving, and one who, in my opinion, just does not stack up rounded six out. Want to see what I think about the top six on America’s Got Talent season 8, and who I think deserves to win? Read on! Don’t agree with my picks? Think I’ve been absolutely bonkers throughout this entire season? Talk about it in the comments below!

6. Jimmy Rose

Where do his votes come from? I know that the country vote is strong, but I really don’t understand why he’s here. His audition was impressive, and going back to that for his first performance will definitely help him, but he is not anywhere near as talented as the rest of the top six.

5. Cami Bradley

Pretty girl, pretty voice, but this isn’t her competition. She could probably do well on American Idol or The Voice, and I would root for her, but not here, and not with the rest of the people in the top six.

4. Forte

In any other season, these guys would have been a lock for the win. But to me, this just doesn’t seem like the season of singers. There are three acts in the top six that are much more original, and I think (or at least I’m hoping) that one of them will be able to take home the grand prize.

3. Collins Key

I was a big fan of his at the beginning, but his tricks, while impressive, do get old fast. Incorporating social media into magic is a great idea to try to bring magic to a new generation, but to me, it’s just starting to seem a little bit like the same trick is being performed over and over again. An impressive trick, but the same trick.

2. Taylor Williamson

He had a hard task before him when it came to improving upon an act, but he did a great job with it, and I think he is definitely a contender for the big prize. He’s an awesome comedian, and I truly believe that he will be successful, even if he doesn’t win the show.

1. Kenichi Ebina

Honestly, in my head, there is no competition. Taylor does amazing comedy, and Collins is a great magician. Forte, Cami, and even Jimmy are all great singers. But Kenichi does so much more. He creates a story, a background. He plays every single character in each of his performances, and the amount of time that he must spend creating, planning, designing, practicing… he is absolutely incredible, and in my opinion, if he doesn’t win this season of America’s Got Talent, he was robbed.
