Marion ‘Suge’ Knight, the founder of Death Row Records, was arrested again in Los Angeles Wednesday morning.
According to CNN, Knight was arrested around 12:30 a.m. for a driving violation and an outstanding warrant, and taken to Los Angeles County Jail. Officer Cleon Joseph confirmed that he was held on $20,000 bail, but did not reveal details of the arrest.
Sources for TMZ did give further details, though. The site reports that LAPD saw him driving a truck without a license plate and driving between two lanes. Police figured that he was sober at the time, so he avoided a DUI. But he was arrested because he had failed to go to a court hearing for a previous charge of driving without a license.
Knight was previously arrested back in February 2012 when Las Vegas police spotted marijuana in his car. It was less than an ounce and he was only ticketed for unsafe lane change, notes CNN. He was also arrested in December 2010 for not appearing in court for another traffic violation.
Knight is known for his former role with Death Row Records, signing names like Snoop Dogg (now Snoop Lion) and Tupac Shakur. The label declared bankruptcy in 2006.
