The UEFA Champions League had a great start with groups A, B, C, D all having games on September 17, 2013. But the game with most goals came from Group B, where Cristiano Ronaldo and the rest of the Real Madrid had no mercy on Galatasaray, a Turkish club team.

Real started their Champions League run with a bang, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring a hat trick (63’, 66’, 91’), Karim Benzema with two goals (54’, 81’), and the young Isco, with one goal (33’). The recent contract extension for Ronaldo, must have given him the fire he needed to give Real Madrid their first win for this season’s Champions League game.

According to ESPN FC, Ronaldo stated, "Things couldn't have started better for us. Scoring six goals is really good and will give us a lot of confidence.” The three goals for Ronaldo brought his total up to 206 for goals for Real Madrid.

According to Goal.com, “Ronaldo, temporarily overshadowed by Bale...is back in vogue.” Galastaray scored in the 84th minute, but the one goal wasn’t enough to catch up to the Real Madrid powerhouse team, who beat Galastaray 6-1.
