Saturday proved to be a tough day for the Real Madrid side and coach Carlo Ancelotti. The Blancos had a 1-0 loss, in their home stadium Santiago Bernabeu.
Many fans are questioning Ancelotti’s coaching decisions during the game, with not starting Luka Modric, and playing Fabio Coentrao. Many Real Madrid fans are also not happy with the recent transfer of Mesut Ozil to Arsenal. ESPN FC also reported that fans showed discontent with Ancelotti’s decision to start Karim Benzema, and his decision to later send on Alvaro Morata for Isco.
According to Goal.com, after the match, Ancelotti spoke to reporters and said “We were slow in attack. We didn't have a good game. We have to recover and improve. Losing a match at home is not easy. I have to think about solutions. We played well up until last week. We have to continue working with the same system but I'm confident we will improve.”
During the game, the Real Madrid side had a lot of difficulty creating opportunities for themselves, and the absence of finishing any chances cost them the game.
