After months of incessant rumors, Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have called off their engagement. The “We Can’t Stop” singer, 20, and her Hunger Games star fiancé got engaged in May 2012.
Reps for both Cyrus and the Australian actor have confirmed the break-up to multiple news outlets.
People notes the couple met in 2010 on set of their film The Last Song, which they co-starred in. After Hemsworth proposed last year with a 3.5-karat diamond Neil Lane ring, she said, "I'm so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam."
Cyrus’ ring has been on and off in recent months, and they haven’t been photographed together in a while, despite a rare appearance in August.
Cyrus has been busy promoting her new album Bangerz and Hemsworth has been traveling as well.
TMZ spotted the newly-single Hemsworth chatting up Eiza González, 23, a singer/actress at XS Nightclub in Las Vegas, where they left together at 2am after spending the entire night together.
According to Us Weekly, Hemsworth has been pursuing January Jones since his split with Cyrus.
