Howard Stern’s longtime radio co-host Robin Quivers revealed her battle with cancer and after taking a leave of absence has revealed that she is cancer free.
Quivers announced that she had a tumor on her bladder in May 2012 on Stern’s Sirus XM radio show New York Daily Newsreports. The 60-year-old discussed her treatment in an interview Monday morning where Stern revealed it’s been over a year since Quivers has actually been in-studio and has been battling cancer ever since. “I had a major surgery, a major abdominal surgery, and a mass was removed from my pelvic area and I do have some more recovery to do. But everything seems to be fine," Quivers explained. After undergoing chemotherapy, Quivers reveals that she is disease free. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stern explained that he would quit if he couldn’t have his longtime cohost by his side.
“I'll f---ing kill you if you have cancer. I'm not doing the show without you … I'm quitting if you're not doing the show,” Stern explained. The shock-jock notes that he still gets chills when he thinks about the battle she has overcome.
