Sandra Bullock stopped by the Tonight Show with Jay Leno to promote her new film Gravity but ended up revealing a prank her longtime friend and costar, George Clooney, played on her.
While at a dinner party Clooney fooled the Oscar award winning actress into jumping into a pool by herself, People reports. Clooney and another friend stripped down to only their pants and convinced Bullock that they wanted to take a dive.
“So I held their hands and on the count of three, and in slow motion I see Nicole Kidman with a stack of towels ... And I jump, and they let go, and I go in the pool,” Bullock explained. Leno confirmed that she was the only person in the pool.
To make matters worse, the expensive lace dress Bullock was wearing started to disintegrate as she walked out of the water.
Despite the embarrassing incident, Bullock quickly forgave Clooney. The two have known each other before becoming Hollywood A listers and have always had a close relationship.
During her interview on Friday, Leno asked Bullock why she and Clooney have never dated.
“I think we’re probably the only two that haven’t dated in the business. I think it’s probably because we’re a little too similar,” Bullock said. She went on to clarify that they’re similar “in all the disturbing ways.”
