The Talk's Sara Gilbert said she realized she was gay while dating former co-star Johnny Galecki.
The 38-year-old said that she had a crush on Galecki back then, People reports, but when "we started dating and he would come over and we would, like, make out, and then I would start to get depressed."
She said he was "super sweet" and not offended that Gilbert thought it was about her sexuality and not him. Galecki supported her and was there for her as she adjusted to her sexuality and started dating a woman.
Gilbert also said that it's still a struggle at times, "I want people to know there can still be a struggle with it and that's okay."
"It's a process and there can be a part of you that doesn't want to feel different or feel scared, " she added.
According to New York Daily News, Gilbert called Galecki to let him know she planned on talking about him while talking about her struggles with her sexuality and he was totally okay with that.
She is still friends with Galecki and has even appeared on his show The Big Bang Theory.
The actress is currently engaged to Linda Perry.
