If there’s one thing Sarah Jessica Parker should know about, it should be shoes. The starlet solidified her position as a stiletto expert by strutting the streets of New York as the high-heel addict Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City.

According to E! Online, SJP is teaming up with Manolo Blahnik to release a collection of shoes.

The fashion icon recently gushed over the collaboration at a preview of the line.

Fashionista reports that Parker encouraged the editors to smell the shoes at the recent press event.

“She loves the smell of shoes,” said Manolo’s President George Malkemus.

Parker defended the strange statement by explaining further, “You know that makes a difference, when a shoe isn’t well-made, it doesn’t smell good.”

She also shared details about her involvement in the line and the countless hours spent obsessing over fit, color, and silhouette.

“I really wanted to bring back the single sole,” she said. “I wanted to go back in time and be the 11-year-old that was looking in the window at Charles Jourdan and Maud Frizon and recall those great, gorgeous colors and the way people made shoes without thinking about anyone else, just doing what excites them.”

We’re certainly glad that SJP and Carrie Bradshaw share a love of shoes! Of course, it was only natural for Parker to name a shoe in her honor. The “Carrie” is a t-strap pump with a pointy-toe.

The shoes will debut in Nordstorm stores Januray of next year. Prices will vary from $!50 to $400.
