Scarlett Johansson’s rep has officially confirmed that she is engaged to journalist Romain Dauriac.
Reports that the Avengers beauty was engaged surfaced Wednesday, but were never officially confirmed until now. Her publicist, Marcel Pariseau, confirmed the news in a statement to USA Today saying, "I can confirm that Scarlett and Romain are engaged. They haven't chosen a date for the wedding."
Johansson was first spotted with the handsome Frenchmen back in November 2012.
Dauriac reportedly proposed nearly a month ago, she was spotted wearing a stunning art deco diamond ring at the Venice Film Festival, Tuesday.
The engagement may come as a surprise to some as the 28-year-old beauty previously expressed that “marriage and children” were not important to her at the time.
During her December interview with Elle she also noted, “Being in a functioning relationship doesn't mean you have to be married."
People was the first to report the news of Johansson and Dauriac’s engagement.
