The cast of Season 17 of Dancing with the Stars has been revealed. As rumored, Valerie Harper, who was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, is part of the roster.

This season will be different, as after its Sept. 16 premiere, the show will be limited to once a week. The elimination shows have been cut.

The full list of contestants are as follows; former Jersey Shore star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, NFL star Keyshawn Johnson, Mary Tyler Moore Show star Valerie Harper, Pretty Little Liars’ Brant Daugherty, singer Christina Milian, The Science Guy Bill Nye, former Saved by the Bell star Elizabeth Berkley, High School Musical’s Corbin Bleu, Glee’s Amber Riley, comedian Bill Engvall, Jack Osbourne and last but not least, Leah Remini.

Buddy TV reports the whole cast was there to make the big announcement on ABC’s Good Morning America today.
Harper told People she accepted the offer to appear on the show because recent brain scans have shown that there’s “less evidence of cancer.”

"I feel much better," she said. "And my brain scans are looking better too. The doctors tell me there's less evidence of cancer, which is very unusual. However, they both say it's not a case of if, but when. And I can live with that."
