Selma Blair is seeking legal action following her quick dismissal from the FX series Anger Management.

Earlier this week, Sheen sat down with Jay Leno where he attempted to clear up rumors that Blair was fired.

He explained, “One of our primary characters, Selma Blair, who played Kate, was written out because [the show] was not about our relationship, and the problem was too many people were still excited about the Two and a Half [Men] character and thinking the Anger Management character was a little dull…So, um, that is not the case anymore."

Blair quick dismissal from the series was questionable, especially following a heated exchange between the two actors after Blair expressed issue with Sheen’s tardiness and inability to be prepared on the set to the show’s producers. Sheen reportedly heard about the things Blair was saying and demanded she be written out immediately.

TMZ reports that Blair was in fact going to be written out of the series because of the focus on their relationship in the series, but was supposed to happen gradually over eight episodes. However, once Sheen heard that Blair was bad-mouthing him, he demanded the process be “accelerated,” a source explains.

Blair is demanding payment of $1.2 million, what she would have made throughout her eight episode run. Blair and her team state if she doesn’t get paid she will be filing a lawsuit.
Lawyers for both the actress and Lionsgate are speaking attempting to come to an agreement.
