TNT has greenlit the drama Murder in the First, created and written by Steven Bochco.
The scripted drama cast Taye Diggs and Kathleen Robertson for the two main stars, Deadline reports. Others cast in the show include, Tom Felton, Mimi Kirkland, Ian Anthony Dale, Bess Rous, Steven Weber and Raphael Sbarge.
Murder in the First has secured a 10 episode order from TNT. The show is scheduled for summer 2014 and Bochco and Eric Lodal will serve as executive producers.
The show is set in San Francisco and follow a single case for the whole season.
The Hollywood Reporter says Taye Diggs plays Terry Seagrave, a homicide detective dealing with a wife with terminal illness. Terry uses his job to forget about the struggles at home. Robertson plays Hildy Mulligan, who is Terry's partner. She's divorced and has a young daughter.
