Taylor Swift once again proved that she’s one of the nicest celebrities on the planet when it comes to her fans. She met with a 7-year-old girl who was hit by a car just before Swift’s Chicago concert last month.

Amy and Will Markel, of Columbia, Missouri, took Grace, their only child, to Swift’s show in Chicago on Aug. 10. According to People, as they were getting out of a taxi, Grace was hit by a driver going 30 miles per hour. The driver had a suspended license and was uninsured. Grace was rushed to Children's Mercy Hospital and was not able to see her idol perform that night.

Grace suffered a severe concussion, two skull fractures, head lacerations and a slight left orbital fracture.

Grace’s parents made sure that she saw Swift though. They bought tickets to the “22” singer’s Nashville show on Sept. 21. Surprisingly, Swift heard their story and invited the family backstage, notes ABC News.

“Taylor greeted Grace by her name and immediately knelt down and hugged her,” Grace’s mother Amy told People. “She told Grace she had a cold and asked Grace to sing extra loud to help her out.”

Swift and Grace posed for pictures and Swift signed grace’s shirt “I heart Grace! Taylor.” Swift then gave Grace a hug.

“[The meeting] was just a warm and genuine exchange that made it feel like time has stopped, and it was just the two of them,” Amy told People, describing the scene. “It's so hard to reconcile what we witnessed at the time of the accident with her amazing recovery. We feel so very lucky and blessed.”

Swift has wrapped up her North American tour and stars touring Australia in November.
