That’s a wrap! Taylor Swift finished up the US leg of her Red Tour this week with three sold-out shows at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.
This being the singer-songwriter’s third headlining tour, Swift sure knows how to put on a memorable performance. CMT reports that Swift made the show seem like a family reunion and told the crowd she had chosen to close the US leg of her tour in Nashville because it was her home.
Taylor rocked the sold-out crowds with a variety of Nashville inspired t-shirts and continued her tradition of bringing some surprise special guests out to duet with her.
On the opening night, September 19th, Swift invited Luke Bryan to join her to sing his hit song “I Don’t Want This Night To End.” During the show Swift revealed to the crowd that Bryan “flew across the country to spend his only free day with us.”
Next up, the pop superstar joined forces with Rascal Flatts to perform “What Hurts The Most.”
Finally, Swift drove fans into a frenzy with special guest Hunter Hayes, who joined the blonde-beauty on stage to sing “I Want Crazy.”
According to Country Weekly, the “I Knew You Were Trouble” singer was honored before the shows at a private reception at the Bridgestone Arena on September 19th.
The head of Taylor’s record label, Scott Borchetta, presented the fearless female with several plaques marking her huge success in the states and overseas. They included one for 6 million sales of her Red album and another for her hit single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”
Taylor humbly accepted the honors stating, “I didn’t know it was that many. This is so awesome.”
Taylor now has a two month hiatus before visiting her Australian swifties to continue the tour.
