The new CBS comedy, The Crazy Ones, easily dispatched NBC's The Michael J. Fox Show in the ratings for Thursday night.
Using The Big Bang Theory as a lead-in, the Robin Williams comedy had 15.6 million viewers and a 4.0 among the 18-49 demo, USA Today reports. Fox's show, which didn't have the luxury of a strong lead-in, received only 7.2 million viewers and a 2.1.
Fox moves to a later time next week, meaning it won't have to compete with The Crazy Ones again, since Sean Saves the World begins.
The Big Bang Theory saw its largest season premiere ratings in history with 18.3 million viewers and a 5.3 rating, Entertainment Weekly notes. The second episode increased to 19.5 million and a 5.8 rating.
While Fox's new show got shellacked in the ratings, it did see steady viewer numbers for the back-to-back episode. That episode only had to compete against Two in a Half Men, which had 11.5 million and a 2.9 rating, which is down from last year at 17 percent.
CBS' Elementary debuted to 10 million viewers and a 2.1 rating. Fox's The X Factor saw 6.3 million viewers and a 2.0 rating.
