NBC has announced the line-up for the first few episodes of Saturday Night Live’s new season this fall. Tina Fey, Miley Cyrus and Bruce Willis will all appear on the long-running sketch comedy show.
The 39th season kicks off on Sept. 28 with a familiar face. Fey will be back to host for a fourth time. Fey’s show 30 Rock just ended, but she will be seen in Anchorman 2 this December. She also stars in Muppets Most Wanted next spring.
The musical guest for Fey’s episode will be Arcade Fire. Their new album is out on Oct. 29.
Cyrus, who generated plenty of headlines for her MTV VMAs performance last month, will both host and perform songs from Bangerz on Oct. 8.
Willis will make his second appearance as host on Oct. 12. The action star recently appeared in Red 2 and G.I. Joe: Retaliation. His next film is Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, which doesn’t open until August 2014.
Katy Perry will perform on Oct. 12 to promote her new release, Prism. The album will feature the hit single “Roar.”
SNL could have as many as five new castmembers, since Fred Armisen, Jason Sudeikis and Bill Hader are all leaving. Seth Meyers will start the season with SNL, but plans to leave midseason to host NBC’s Late Night.
