As a TV and entertainment addict, I’m always spotting trends and specials on-screen. I’ve recently become addicted to some reality shows, such as Keeping Up with the Kardashians (guilty pleasure), MTV’s Cat Fish, and The Bachelorette among others. One thing these shows have in common is the romance aspect: They’re in relationships or looking for love. Browsing through other shows, I couldn’t help but notice the on-screen chemistry between actors. I’m pretty sure almost everyone has a favorite TV couple for whom they’ve been rooting to end up together. Whether it’s on-screen or off-screen, these are the TV couples that should’ve been together in real life. From Jesse and Becky on Full House to Lily and Marshall from How I Met Your Mother, these couples have surely melted a lot of hearts.
10. Ross Geller and Rachel Green
Friends is arguably America’s most popular and favorite TV sitcom. Although the series has finished, the hilarious comedy, which follows the lives of six close friends is still a major hit among viewers. It was centered around the romance between characters, Ross (David Schwimmer) and Rachel (Jennifer Aniston). The two were on-and-off during the whole series. But towards the last season, they declared their love for each other and learned that they couldn’t live apart. How awesome would it have been if this couple happened in real life!
9. Carlos and Gabby Solis
Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira) and Gabby (Eva Longoria) are the notable couple from the Desperate Housewives series. Having gone through major ups and downs in their relationships—financially, medically, and learning to trust—this couple ended up strong and lovable. Many fans would love it if these two Latino actors were together in real life.
8. Richard Castle and Kate Beckett
Hailing from ABC’s Castle, the crime drama follows crime writer, Castle (Nathan Fillon), and Detective Beckett (Stana Katic), investigating murders. After working alongside Beckett, Castle develops feelings for her and proposes to her in season 5!
7. Chandler Bing and Monica Geller
They’re another loved couple from Friends. Chandler (Matthew Perry) plays Monica’s (Courtney Cox’s) boyfriend after a few seasons on the show. Chandler is also a best friend of Monica’s brother, Ross. Ross dates Rachel who is Monica’s best friend. Clearly, if these couples dated or had married in real-life fans would have gone crazy.
6. Jim and Pam Halpert
Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam (Jenna Fisher) are the married couple on NBC’s The Office. The intense and awkward relationship between the two makes them perfect for each other, on-screen and off.
5. Nick Miller and Jessica ‘Jess’ Day
This quirky two-some started out as roommates and developed feelings for each other. Fans seemed to be rooting for the two together since the beginning of their show, New Girl. The couple played by Jake Johnson and Zooey Deschanel have struggled to confess their feelings to one another, and finally do so towards the end of the second season. This couple would be amazing together in real life! They’re so cute on-screen and would be off-screen too!
4. Lily Aldrin & Marshall Eriksen
These two plays love interests on the TV show How I Met Your Mother. The characters are played by Alyson Hannigan and Jason Segel. The couple is based off the creator’s real-life romance with this own wife. So those hoping that relationship like theirs exists, it does! However, we all know we want Lily and Marshall to continue their relationship in real life too.
3. Kurt Hummel and Blaine Anderson
Chris Colfer and Darren Criss play one of Glee’s power couples. Despite their ups and downs, fans feel as though they are perfect for each other. Since they’re both gay in real life, they should totally date!
2. Olivia Pope and Fitz Grant
This is probably the most scandalous, tear-jerking, and heart-beating romance on TV right now. Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) is a crisis manager who protects the reputation of America’s elite. Fitz Grant (Tony Goldwyn) is president of the United States, and he’s married. Olivia was a former white house employee and is having an affair with the president that has to be kept secret but is hard to hide. Their chemistry is sexy and undeniable, and they’re crazy about each other. If there’s any couple who really needs to date off-screen, it’s these two.
1. Jesse Katsopolis and Becky Donaldson
“Have Mercyyyyyyyy!” Uncle Jesse and Becky are the number one Full House couple that should’ve been. No doubt, John Stamos who plays Jesse hasn’t aged a bit and is still single. But neither has Lori Loughlin who played his love interest on the show. Everyone is secretly praying that these two get together in real-life. Marriage, kids, the works…. John even told Us Magazine earlier this year that Lori is “the one that got away.” How perfect is that? Even if you’re not a fan of the show, it surely made people’s hearts melt. Talk about bad timing! John Stamos continued to say, “We were great friends...and we have chemistry. I was actually married at the time I was doing the show and then I got divorced, and when I got divorced I met Rebecca Romijn and got married. So our timing was just really off so I don't think it really even entered our minds that it would be something more." Now, John is divorced and Lori is married with two kids, but we’re secretly hoping these two get together, even if it happens in their old age.
