The hit summer show, Top Chef Masters, has come to an end this past week with the winner being crowned. It was a great finale, with exquisite food being cooked and displayed.

Bravo’s Top Chef Masters started the season off with 13 world-renowned chefs each competing for a chance to win $100,000 for a charity of their choice, and of course, the title of “Top Chef Master.”

The finale was composed of the final 3 chefs Jennifer Jasinki, Bryan Voltaggio, and Douglas Keane. The episode began with chefs enjoying a meal from host, Curtis Stone, and then being introduced to their final challenge. The challenge was to cook a four-course meal that was based on their culinary career. First course was to be “something old,” which would showcase their first memory of food. Second was “something new,” to showcase where the chef currently is in their career. Third course was “something borrowed,” which was to showcase a meal that was inspired by their biggest influence. And lastly, the fourth course was “something sous,” a dessert that was inspired by each chef’s sous chef. All of this was for a panel of esteemed food critics in the culinary food industry. According to Grub Street , critic James Oseland, of Saveur magazine, said “what very intelligent food” that all critics had the pleasure of enjoying.

According to food fanatic , the food all turned out great, and there weren’t many apparent mistakes in the dishes. I know for one, that my mouth was watering the entire time while watching the episode.

Despite the tough competition, Chef Douglas Keane became victorious of the Top Chef Master title and the winner of $100,000, all of which was donated to the Green Dog Rescue foundation.
