For fans of reality television, you could not ask for a better night than Wednesday’s. CBS’ Survivor started its new season and Big Brother ended. America’s Got Talent helped NBC win the night in viewers and Fox’s X Factor started its second week.

NBC had the most viewers, averaging 9.2 million and drawing a 2.0 18-49 rating, notes HitFix, based on Nielsen data. After Million Second Quiz, the AGT finale 10.5 million viewers for the first hour. It grew to 12.19 million for the second hour as viewers checked in to see the winner.

According to the LA Times, AGT averaged 11.3 million viewers, which was up 7 percent over the 2012 finale. Its 2.5 rating in the key demo was up 4 percent from last year.

CBS had 8.13 million viewers and a 2.5 overall 18-49 rating. Survivor’s new season kicked off strong with 9.56 million viewers and a 2.5 18-49 rating. The Big Brother finale had 6.73 million viewers and a 2.4 18-49 rating. The Times notes that it was the lowest-rated finale since 2008.

Fox’s The X Factor was up a bit from last week’s poor premiere, drawing 6.6 million viewers. Its 2.2 18-49 rating was the same as last week’s.

ABC ran all repeats, as did The CW.
