USA Network may have another cable hit on its hands with Graceland. The network announced today that it is renewing the freshman show for a second season.
According to Deadline, the announcement came just two days before the show’s first season finale. It was created by Jeff Eastin, the man behind USA’s other big hit, White Collar.
“We're proud to be the home of one of the summer's top new cable dramas and we anticipate Graceland will be a long-term player for the network," USA president Chris McCumber said in a statement, notes The Hollywood Reporter.
Graceland features Daniel Sunjata, Aaron Tveit, Vanessa Ferlito,Brandon Jay McLaren, Serinda Swan and Manny Montana as a team of undercover agents. It has garnered 1.8 million viewers in the 18-49 demographic over its first season and averaged 4.3 million total viewers.
The series is produced by Fox TV studios.
Eastin’s White Collar will start its fifth season in October. USA also has to announce the fates of Covert Affairs, Suits and Necessary Roughness. Burn Notice’s series finale is set for Sept. 12 after Graceland.
