With Breaking Bad coming to an end this Sunday, Vince Gilligan is set to launch two new shows. Of course the Breaking Bad spin-off show officially named Better Call Saul but Gilligan also has his eyes set on a show he had once hoped to develop even before Breaking Bad called Battle Creek, a police detective drama. Now with a name for himself, CBS has ordered a 13-episode season of the new show.
According to Empire Gilligan will be joining forces with House creator David Shore. With House lasting 8 seasons, and Breaking Bad hitting universal success, it's safe to say that Battle Creek has a good chance of being huge.
Battle Creek will be based in the small town of Battle Creek, Michigan about two detective who share two completely different world views. According to The Guardian Gilligan will be directing and writing a variety of episodes but the show running will be left to Shore as Gilligan already has his hands full with Better Call Saul. Expect Battle Creek to hit CBS sometime in 2014.
