The season finale of Web Therapy opens with Austen showing Fiona a ringless hand. Gina finally agreed to get a divorce after Austen hired an all female staff because Gina was having sex with the male staff. After he explains, Austen gets down on one knee and proposes to Fiona. She accepts, and he explains how he’s planning on changing his life. He wants to give all of his worldly possessions away and open a foundation in Africa for orphans. He’s like a “White Male Scottish Oprah.” Austen’s given away everything, and he’s so excited to live in a mud hut with Fiona in Africa. Fiona is obviously having second thoughts - “If we don’t like it for a day or two, we can go back.” Austen is broke, but he feels much more rich than he ever has before. Fiona starts having “connection issues” again, and is complaining about how the connection is breaking up, and finally says “Oh, we’re breaking up,” and hangs up.

Fiona’s next call is from Jerome, who was confused about why she didn’t answer the door when he went upstairs and knocked. Fiona was going through divorce papers and didn’t want any company, but Jerome wanted to brighten her day with some great news: Jerome is a father! Not just anyone’s father, Jerome is Angus’ father, and he’s decided to raise the child with his wife, Haley, and Gina. Just before Austen gave his money away, he wrote Angus a check for $20 million to ensure that he can be raised in the way he’s been used to. On top of that, Jerome, Haley, and Gina have purchased the house next to Fiona’s. Gina chimes in on the conversation to tell Fiona how excited she is to have sleepovers every night, to which Fiona replies, “Where’s the baby?” Jerome and Gina look at each other, neither of them knowing where little Angus is.

Kip calls Fiona to check if she got the divorce papers. He opens up to her about how, since his boyfriend has been in prison, he’s had a hard time dating women. Not because of the “gay thing” but because every woman he sees is just a worse version of Fiona. He also tells Fiona that the whole “gay thing” was an attempt to make the GOP gay-friendly. Kip has done a lot of soul searching and meditating and feels like he’s done with the experimentation, with that phase of his life. He asks about Kip and Fiona gives him the story, and Kip calls Austen a phase in Fiona’s life. Kip plans on coming back to Philadelphia to rekindle his law practice. Kip is very smitten with Fiona and they make plans to have dinner. Fiona offers to bring the divorce papers to dinner, and Kip says that might not be necessary. He just doesn’t have the impulse to sign them anymore. Instead, the two of them rip up the divorce papers together.

Putsy calls Fiona from Kip’s ex-boyfriend’s ranch. She called to tell her that she’s moving to Philadelphia to live with her. Fiona wants to rebuild her marriage and doesn’t think she’ll be able to do that with her mother around. But, her mother’s got big plans to revamp Kip’s political career with the end goal being Kip as a supreme court justice. She claims she’s got a lot of political power due to swinger’s parties in previous decades. Putsy convinced Austen to give his money away because giving up money is the easiest way to get closer to the spiritual being. Putsy believes she can fix everything for Fiona, and asks her to “give her a shot.”

After six months, Putsy’s book entitled “Did That Come Out of Me?” on raising a “demanding and unsatisfying child” has been published and is critically acclaimed. Fiona receives a call from her publicist Garreth Pink, played by Billy Crystal, who gives her the news that the Today Show doesn’t want her as a guest to discuss Putsy’s book. Instead, she might get on a show that comes on after the after show after the Today Show, but it’s more like a show on the Internet, which Fiona says “aren’t real shows.” Garreth has set up multiple interviews for Putsy, all of which Fiona attempts to involve herself. Fiona wants to know what the plan is for her, but Garreth tells her there is no plan for her. He says, “The camera doesn’t like you” and “the people don’t like you.” Garreth suggests going to a class for Fiona’s abrasive voice. Fiona tries to tell Garreth about how Putsy murdered her friend and actually went to an insane asylum. Garreth tells Fiona she’s paranoid. He says Fiona’s just putting Garreth down before he marries Putsy. After that happens, Garreth tells Fiona of Putsy’s plans to shut down Web Therapy and reveal it as a sham.

Season 3 of Web Therapy had an exciting conclusion that leaves a lot of questions - what’s going to happen to Fiona’s business, Web Therapy, and what other plans will her mother try to push on her life?
