Seth Meyers wed his longtime girlfriend, Alexi Ashe, today.

The couple were married in a small ceremony on Martha's Vineyard, People Magazine reports. Meyers, 39, is known for starring on comedy show Saturday Night Live. The bride is a human rights lawyer. A source previously said, "They are so in love and really excited for their big day. They [were] really happy to celebrate their big day with all their close friends and family."

The public was not left waiting for this pair to tie the knot, as the engagement was announced just last month. Meyers described his unique proposal involving the couple's dog, saying, "I tied [the ring] in a bow around our dog's collar." He was expecting Ashe to come back more quickly than she did, so he was left waiting. He said, "I just had to sit there looking at the dog. I was like, 'The dog's going to eat the ring!'"

Us Weekly reports that the 150-person guest list included names like Olivia Wilde, Allison Williams, and Jake Gyllenhaal. From the cast of SNL, friends Jason Sudeikis, Will Forte, Kristen Wiig, and Colin Jost attended. The rehearsal dinner was held on Saturday at the Beetlebung Farm House.

Meyers and Ashe met at a wedding several years ago. A source told Us Weekly that Meyers has known for a while that he wanted to marry Ashe. The source said, "He's very excited for the next phase of his life." The funnyman said that it brought tears to his eyes to hear the woman of his dreams accept his proposal of marriage and has since said that Ashe has "excellent taste" in planning weddings.
