The Los Angeles based production company Rainfall has officially announced their release date for an online Wonder Woman short.
Fans of Diana of Themyscira (a.k.a. Wonder Woman) can rejoice. While the CW Network has been putting several versions (most of them failures) of a Wonder Woman television show on the backburner, the most recent news was that the network has pushed back the revamp until 2014, claimed MovieWeb back in May, and was intended to focus on the superwoman’s teenage years. It seems Wonder Woman will never see a decent remake.
Yet, there is hope. Rainfall announced during the 2013 annual San Diego Comic-Con that they planned on releasing a Wonder Woman origins story, complete with the Amazons and everything. Yesterday the company announced on their official website, Twitter and Facebook accounts that the release for the web short is September 30, 2013.
From the looks of it, this should be a huge hit. The costumes look much more fitting for Princess Diana than what the CW had planned earlier and the cinematography looks gorgeous.
