New details are coming out about Paperboy star Zac Efron’s rehab stint earlier this year. The actor actually went to rehab twice in the past year to try to kick his addiction to cocaine, a new report says.

As we previously reported, Efron went to rehab around the time he was shooting Neighbors with Seth Rogen in April.

TMZ reported he wasn’t showing up to set and it was “common knowledge” he was using cocaine at the time.

However, a new report from TMZ says that when Efron sought help for his addiction after filming Neighbors, it was because he relapsed while filming. He actually got extensive outpatient care for a number of weeks in March before the film started production.

The reasons his addiction spiraled out of control are reportedly on account of a few factors. He’s stressed that his parents are still trying to control his life and career, he fell in with the wrong crowd, he’s having girl problems, and he’s not happy with the way his career is going after High School Musical.

Efron's rep still hasn't commented on the rehab stint(s).
