Sources are saying Zac Efron made a shocking move when he secretly completed a rehab stint about five months ago. The former High School Musical star was at the Toronto International Film for the premiere of his new film Parkland, and said he’s in a good place now.
Efron, 25, said on the red carpet while promoting the film “I'm good, real good.”
A source told E! News, "He's healthy, happy and not drinking. He's taking time to focus on working."
But according to TMZ, Efron went to rehab for another addiction – cocaine.
The problem reportedly got out of hand when he was shooting Neighbors with Seth Rogen in April. Earlier this year, he and a group of friends reportedly made $50,000 worth of damage while on a bender at SkyLofts at the MGM Grand in Vegas. He also reportedly took Molly, a pure form of ecstasy.
Since he often wouldn’t show up to set, "It was common knowledge he was struggling with cocaine,” said an insider.
When his rep was contacted, they didn’t provide any response. “Don't think we'll be making a comment,” said the rep.
