Zac Efron did not go into rehab a few months ago for alcohol abuse, but rather for cocaine.
Reports came out Tuesday saying that the actor had completed a rehab stint five months ago.
Sources were telling People and E! News that Efron was now "doing great" and that "he's healthy, happy and not drinking."
Well evidently the High School Musical actor did not go into rehab for alcohol abuse, but rather because he had an addiction to cocaine, sources have been telling TMZ.
The actor went into rehab after letting his substance abuse problems get out of hand while filming the Seth Rogen film Neighbors. A source told TMZ, "it was common knowledge he was struggling with cocaine."
TMZ also had three other sources confirm that it was cocaine that the actor was struggling with, but that he was also using Ecstasy.
Efron also reportedly had friends with him in a MGM Grand in Vegas room where they spent their time doing cocaine and causing $50,000 in damages.
When TMZ reached out to Zac's rep she said, "Don't think we'll be making a comment."
Efron is in the upcoming JFK assassination movie, Parkland, out Oct. 4.
