The adventures of Harvey Specter and Mike Ross will continue on USA Network. The hit legal drama Suits has earned a fourth season.
USA Network said that the fourth season will run 16 episodes. Aaron Korsh, the show’s creator and showrunner also signed an overall deal with Universal Cable Productions.
“As a leading cable drama, Suits is at the top of its game and continues to grow in the key demographics, drawing a passionate, young and loyal audience,” Chris McCumber, President of USA Network said in a statement. He also praised Korsh for pushing “the boundaries of storytelling and the series promises to deliver a provocative fourth season.”
Suits’ third season has been among the Top 5 in the 18-59 demographic in the third quarter and in the Top 10 in the 24-54 demo. The show is currently in a mid-season break and will return in early 2014 after the Winter Olympics with six more episodes. Michael Phelps will make an appearance, as will star Gabriel Macht’s father, General Hospital actor Stephen Macht.
Macht stars as Harvey Specter, while Patrick J. Adams stars as Mike Ross. The rest of the main cast includes Rick Hoffman, Gina Torres, Sarah Rafferty and Meghan Markle.
USA put the complete show up on video-on-demand and TVEverywhere, so fans can get caught up before the mid-season premiere.
