The animated show begins with a Guillermo del Toro opener with the usual Simpsons characters in celebration of the twenty-fourth annual Halloween episode.

On Halloween night, while everyone is trick or treating, the Simpson kids are stuck at home with the mumps.

Marge parades around in her so-called, “original” Catwoman costume, but pan outside the Simpsons household filled with a flock of people (including Comic Book Guy) in Catwoman costumes.

After Marge leaves her children with a few measly M&Ms, the children mope around the house before a Cat in the Hat-inspired Homer Simpson traipses in the door with mump vaccines.

The children get better in no time and hop on the cat’s four-seater unicycle. However, Grandpa Simpson intervenes in on the cat’s adventure with the kids. Too bad the cat is too quick for Grandpa!

The “Bore-ax” also makes an appearance, getting in the way of the cat and the kids before the cat tips over the Bore-ax’s car.

When the cat brings the kids to Moe’s and Moe doesn’t exactly serve them candy, the cat brings mayhem and pain around them, so Bart, Lisa, and Maggie decide to escape from the cat by boarding on a three-hump camel.

The kids return home, yet the cat appears before them. Will Marge Simpson return home in time for the kids to change back into their sick state?

In the next Halloween segment, Lisa and Bart share Lisa’s body together through a bizarre scenario in which Bart’s head is attached to her body. Cut to Bart and Lisa having tea parties with her dolls and Homer replacing Bart’s room with his man cave.

At the school, Bart and Lisa face accommodations like newly painted restroom signs and later, as the two siblings do show and tell, Lisa excels and Bart fails for being repetitive.

During a therapy session, Lisa and Bart have a heart to heart about the pros of being stuck together. Bart thinks Lisa has clean ears, and Lisa now has someone to eat with at lunch.

All seems well until Bart and Lisa go to bed, and Bart discovers the brilliance in keeping Lisa asleep enough so he can take over her body.

Bart tries his best to get rid of Lisa’s head so he can possess her body entirely but his sister outwits him, or so she thinks.

Let’s just say both Simpson children are body-less at the end.

In the third segment, “Freaks No Geeks,” Mr. Burns runs a circus filled with definite comical freaks.

However, when Mr. Burns reveals Moe Szyslak behind a curtain, the audience screams in horror although Moe just looks like the same old Moe.

Lenny and Carl encourage Moe to go for Marge, but Moe knows Marge has a thing for Homer.

Moe thinks about gifting his emerald ring to Marge in order to woo her, but when Homer hears this, he thinks about stealing the ring for his own gain.

Will Moe get the girl, or will the title once again go to Homer Simpson?
