Chloe Grace Moretz is receiving some major praise from her co-stars in their new movie Carrie.
According to E! Online, Julianne Moore, who plays the role of Carrie’s mother in the film, was one of the stars to shower the 16-year-old actress with compliments.
“She’s so delightful. I mean, she was 15 when we shot this and she’s very professional, really talented, very engaging and wants to do well and great work,” Moore said. “I love her. I loved being with her. She was a great partner and I wanted to make sure that she felt safe with me and that anything could happen and that I was not going to hurt her and that we could kind of explore this relationship together.”
Judy Greer also revealed that she shared the same feelings as Moore and found it difficult to remember Chloe’s age due to her professionalism.
“Chloe was so present all the time in our scenes that I just lost myself in her,” she said. “They would say on set, ‘We only have Chloe for another hour.’ And I’d be like, ‘Why? Does she like have to go to an event or something?’ And then they would be like, ‘No, because she’s under age. She has to go home.’ I’m like, ‘Oh yeah!’ I don’t know, she just feels, she feels like a contemporary of mine.”
USA Today reports that the Kick Ass starlet opened up about how she prepared for her role.
“In our film, Carrie is full of wonder. It’s not stupidity. It’s naivete. She’s a physically and mentally abused kid. She’s been kept inside a box in a way that she didn’t learn anything. She didn’t know any better. To become her, I tried to strip back the layers of what I know.”
Carrie hits theaters October 18th.
