Peyton Manning was welcomed to Lucas Oil Stadium with applause by his old fans, but the man who currently plays quarterback for the Colts got the win.

Before the game, the Colts organization payed tribute to their former quarterback with a 90-second video of Manning's years in Indianapolis, which ended with the image of Peyton hoisting up the Lombardi trophy. Manning was moved and almost brought to tears by the memories. Colts' owner Jim Irsay was behind all of this.

“I truly appreciated that,” Manning said of the tribute. “It’s something I’ll always remember and I’m very grateful for it.”

Luck stole the show as he threw three touchdowns and ran for one and the Colts beat Manning's Broncos 39-33. The Bronco's falling to the Colt's gives them their first loss of the season, which leaves the Kansas City Chiefs as the last remaining undefeated team in the league.

According to LA Times the Seahawks, Broncos, and 49ers are a combined 17-1 against every team in the league except the Colts, to whom each team lost once. This shows that The Colts deserve to be in the conversation with the other teams considered to be at the top of the league. The Colts now sit at 5-2 as the Broncos fall to 6-1.

NY Times reports that Manning finished the game 29 of 49 with three touchdowns. Manning was resilient as he almost brought his team
all the way back from a 33-17 deficit in the fourth quarter. The comeback was brought to a screeching halt when the last two possessions ended in turnovers for the Broncos.

After the game, Manning made sure he greeted every former teammate, coach, and even stadium employees. Colts fans showed their love for Peyton and he was grateful.
