The Bengals improve to 4-2 as they beat the Bills 27-24 in overtime on a Mike Nugent game-winning field goal.

"I told him, `You're going to kick a field goal to win the game," quarterback Andy Dalton said when the Buffalo Bills scored to send it into overtime. "Just be ready."

Dalton's prediction came true with 6:44 left in overtime when Nugent sent a 43-yarder throughout the uprights to break the tie and win the game. According ESPN Nugent had missed a 34-yarder in the third quarter before the Bengals blew a 24-10 lead.

Dalton had a good game after not throwing a touchdown in his past two games, going 26 of 40 for 337 yards and three touchdowns.

"It shows what we can do on offense," Dalton said. "Hopefully, there will be some positive stuff written about us."

USA Today reports that since the Ravens and Browns lost this week, the Bengals are sitting on top of the AFC North at 4-2.

Brandon Tate had a 29 yard punt return to the Buffalo 33 to set up Nugent's second chance.

"I feel like I put us in overtime in a bad way, obviously," Nugent said. "I just hit it terrible. I think I was lucky that we could get back in a position to win."
