Betty White’s wax figure will be moved to the Washington D.C. location of Madame Tussauds after being unveiled in Hollywood just over a year ago.
The figure will even get an outfit change – having been unveiled in a bright pink track suit and now getting a fancy blue dress.
E! Online notes White’s wax figure is being moved to the nation’s capital from October through December to honor her passion for working with animals.
Washington Humane Society CEO Lisa LaFontaine will unveil her new figure in D.C.
The Washington Post notes that during the ceremony on Wednesday, the Humane Society will be there with its mobile adoption center for anyone interested.
White joked when her statue was originally uncovered, "The only thing that irks me is they waited until I was 90. A few decades ago would have been swell."
She added, "I want to thank Madame Tussauds Hollywood for taking their sweet time in making my wax figure. Would it have killed them to do this 50 years ago before gravity took over?"
White's famous roles include The Golden Girls and The Mary Tyler Moore Show and she currently stars on TV Land's Hot in Cleveland.
