Valentin Narcisse is his name and we think he will be the next Gyp Rosetti. Remember Dicky from episode one, well Dunn Purnsley ended up killing him after that whole sex in front of him situation and the widow escapes through the window. Well she brought her sad story to Narcisse claiming she was forced to have sex with Purnsley. Now Narcisse is a religious educated man who comes from Harlem. He also owns a stake in the Onyc Club performers. So back to Dicky's widow, Narcisse used her to scare Chalky into explaining what happened to Dicky but Chalky denied any involvement. Narcisse ends up dumping her body outside of a church, ironically.Chalky does not seem to welcome Narcisse with open arms. Narcisse seems to be a very proud and condescending individual. Narcisse calls him “a servant pretending to be a king.”
In other news Nucky is dealing with the mayor who is questioning him about not being in the public eye anymore. Nucky is also dealing with Eddie his trusty manservant who's health is deteriorating. It is sad to see because he is trying so hard to please Nucky and od everything perfectly for him despite his unsteady shaky hand. Eddie however does not want pity from Nucky and refuses to be treated any differently and Nucky agrees to treat him better.
Richard Harrow is still staying with his sister. He has made a promise to stop killing cold turkey. When his sister tells him he needs to mercy kill the sick family dog, Richard cannot even do it. We will see how long this will last.
Now we finally see what happens with Nelson Van Alden who is now employed by O'Banion. We see his wife taking advantage of her lifestyle and buying furniture he cannot afford. When he is sent to deal with Capone, Van Alden opens his mouth and says O'Banion wants Capone in suburbia and out of Chicago which leaves him with a beating.
Next week episode is sure to bring more answers to the questions on the table. Stay tuned!
