Camille Grammer has been granted a temporary restraining order against Dimitri Charalambopoulos, her former boyfriend. She claims that she was physically abused by him in a declaration that details the incident.

The declaration was filed by her attorney, Larry Stein, and obtained by TMZ. In it, she said that the incident in question took place in a Houston hotel room on Oct. 16 early in the morning. It was just days after she went public about her cancer surgery. She underwent a radical hysterectomy and was recovering.

An argument between the two began when Charalambopoulos received a text from a woman. Grammer claims that he grabbed her hair, twisting it around his arm and used it to pull her head into the bed’s headboard. He pulled out clumps of her hair, according to the declaration. She managed to reach for her iPhone, but Charalambopoulos got to it and smashed it.

Grammer adds that he “squeezed my nose between his finger and pushed upward forcefully, covering my mouth in an attempt to silence me to prevent me from breathing.” He allegedly said “I wanna smash your head in. I'll give you a reason to call the cops” as he continued to slam her face into furniture.

After the incident, which lasted 40 minutes, he told her that he’d knock her out if she left the bed.

Grammer said she felt that he was going to kill her.

A judge granted the restraining order, ordering Charalambopoulos to keep 100 yards away from Grammer and her two children.

According to Radar Online, the former wife of Kelsey Grammer had been dating Charalambopoulos since 2011. Sources told the site that their relationship had deteriorated recently and they broke up.

Grammer went to Twitter today to interact with fans and open up about the incident.
