Camille Grammer underwent surgery on Friday after being diagnosed with endometrial cancer recently. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and ex-wife of Kelsey Grammer underwent a “radical hysterectomy.”
Her rep also said, "The surgery went very well and she is expected to make a complete recovery following a significant recuperation period.”
Us Weekly notes the 45-year-old mother of two appeared on the first two seasons of Bravo’s Real Housewives and had a limited role in the third season. She isn’t expected to be seen in the new season, which premieres on Nov. 4.
She previously talked about leaving the show, saying “I didn't want to expose my personal life so much anymore. I had done that and was over that. I care very much for my family and children and that show tends to take me away from them.”
Her rep continued she "was at elevated risk due to genetic issues and has been diligent about regular check-ups and monitoring which explains the early detection and rapid treatment.”
She also thanked the health care professionals who have taken care of her and “urges all women to be aware of genetic factors relating to women's cancers and get regular check-ups."
